Swimming Competency Course:
Preparation and Completion of the Swedish National Swim Test

Course and Test Goals
- This course is tailored to prepare participants and provide them with the opportunity to complete the Swedish national swim test as required by schools. The test includes:
Swimming:
- 100 metres of any stroke followed by 50 metres swimming with a life buoy
- 50 metres swimming with a life buoy while transporting a rescue mannequin or person in the buoy
Lifesaving
- Start in the water 25 metres away with a life buoy
- Retrieve a rescue mannequin/person from a depth of 3–4 metres
- Transport the mannequin/person 25 metres in water
Underwater Diving:
- Dive at least 3 metres before retrieving an object from shallow water (2 metres depth)
CPR and Safety:
- Recognise unconsciousness, breathing, and cardiac arrest
- Perform correct cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
